What is more luxurious and lavish than a Rolls Royce? Well, nothing else, except maybe gold-plated Porsche, but as they do not have a whole line of those yet, people tend to prefer Rolls Royce cars. Emerged out of the partnership between Charles Stewart Rolls and Frederick Henry Royce, the company started in Britain in 1906. Here, we are discussing the most popular Rolls Royce cars.

Right from the beginning, they set out to build “the best car in the world” as the Silver Ghost was called. Attention to detail and great performance meant that the Silver Ghost enjoyed success right from when it was launched in 1906.

As with several other car manufacturers, during the First World War, Rolls Royce was turned to war production, but instead of manufacturing cars, they create airplane engines like the Eagle which was used by half of the Allied fighters.

Once the war got over, the company continued its research on the engine department and came up with the “R” engine which was used in both cars and planes to set new world records. Post-war developed cars include the Phantom I and the Phantom II increasing production. As the demand increased, Rolls Royce had to open a second plant in America, in Massachusetts.

If you want to get your hands on this spectacular car, a used car valuation tool might lessen the price.

Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph- With a new modern design and the latest performances, it was like a Phoenix car for the British label.  The company started designing the car in the late 80s. The parent company, Vickers, decided to change the aged Silver Spur. At the same point, the bodywork was used by Bentley for the Arnage range. For the engines, Vickers looked for an outsource and the BMW was chosen. The German company provided them an exclusive 6.75-liter V12 design for the Silver Seraph and a twin-turbo 4.4-liter for the Arnage. After the experiment between BMW and Volkswagen finished, the construction of the Silver Seraph was paused. The bodywork design remained to other Germans, which were still upset as they paid one billion USD for the Bentley and the factory brand, but lost the Rolls-Royce brand to BMW, who paid just USD 60 million.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan- One of the popular Rolls Royce cars, this is the only luxury SUV from this manufacturer. The car houses a 6.75 V12 petrol engine that is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine provides up to 15.0 kmpl as mileage which is more than the rest of the models. For the first time, Rolls-Royce has executed a 4-wheel-drive system for the SUV, and it works quite well. The biggest attraction of the Cullinan is its features. The car is well-equipped with vision assist technology as well as night vision backed up by wildlife and pedestrian warning during the day and night. This feature comes with 4 cameras that give this car a panoramic view of everything which is around it. Other important features include lane change, collision warning, active cruise control, and departure warning.

Also, the Coupe models come with a single transmission option, a 3-speed automatic gearbox, in comparison to the main model which also had a 4-speed automatic transmission.
